As a member of the Ground Guys Gardening/Pruning Team you perform landscape maintenance and installation/planting at high levels of quality and service. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. We prefer that you have a year of landscaping experience, but we are happy to train willing people. Excellent communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers are a must.

While this is an outdoor job in a pleasant work environment it is a physically demanding position that requires working in all types of weather conditions. The hard work required to perform this job is rewarding since you are working every day to ensure this city looks clean and beautiful all summer long!!

Specific Responsibilities:

Perform landscape maintenance duties such as manual weed removal, trimming & pruning of shrubs and other plants, spring clean-up, fall clean-up and some small area mowing for various properties.
Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, power & hand pruning equipment, walk mowers, blowers, dump trailers, line trimmers
Performs landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, lawn seeding
Addresses clients' questions, comments, and concerns or refers clients to the Team Leader as appropriate
Assists Team Leader with route and job planning and organization, thereby ensuring sufficient resources and materials are readily available
Assists with equipment maintenance and repair under supervision of the Team Leader
Performs other duties as required

Job Requirements:

Prefer High school diploma/GED (or current student status)
One year experience in this or a related field is preferred but will train willing people.
Valid Driver's License with clean record enhances advancement opportunities.
Willingness to work occasional (paid) overtime.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature.
